- Meal Preparation and Delivery

Using your NDIS funding for meal delivery is easier than you might think, and we're here to guide you through every step.

How it works:

1. Speak with your Support Coordinator

Let your Support Coordinator know that you would like to receive your meals from Melting Moments Meals. They will look at your NDIS plan and ensure you have sufficient funding in the right category.

They will discuss your requirements with you and work out how many meals/soups/sweets you require weekly.

If you are able to receive meals through your package, they will reach out to us for the next step.

2. Obtain a quote and complete the required Service Agreement

We’ll provide a Service Agreement setting out your meal service, charges, and payment arrangements.

This helps everyone understand what your NDIS funding will cover, what you will pay yourself, and how orders will be invoiced.

  • Your Support Coordinator will contact us to obtain a quote for the agreed upon weekly limit, and ensure that your Plan Manager is already set up on our system.

  • They will fill in their section of the Service Agreement, arrange for you or your authorised representative to sign, and return for us to complete our section.

3. Confirmation of funding/Account set up

Before your first order, we will need the relevant paperwork completed.

  • The completed Service Agreement gets sent to your plan Manager to confirm the agreed budget and invoicing requirements.

4. Contact us to place your first order

Once you’ve received confirmation from your Support coordinator, simply call or email us.

We'll happily walk you through the ordering process, answer any questions you may have, and help you choose meals that suit your tastes and dietary needs.

If you can't access our online menu, we're more than happy to post or email one to you.

5. Enjoy delicious meals delivered to your door

Once your account has been set up, ordering is simple. Just choose your favourite meals and we'll take care of the rest.

We can set up recurring orders or rotational menus so that you don’t need to remember to place your order weekly.

What does NDIS funding cover?

Eligible NDIS funding can pay for the preparation and delivery of meals where this support is needed because of your disability.

The NDIS does not cover the cost of food or ingredients. This portion is what you pay yourself.

We’ll explain your personal contribution and the amount charged to your NDIS funding before your service begins, so that you know what to expect.

Your available budget and whether meal preparation and delivery can be funded depends on your individual plan.

What if my plan changes?

Please let us know as soon as your plan, funding, Plan Manager, or contact details change as we will need to update your Service Agreement and confirm the new arrangements before accepting further orders.

With a Service Agreement in place, this means that your Support Coordinator/Plan Manager will need to contact us to make an amendment as soon as possible when there is a plan review.

This is a much shorter document and only highlights the changes, to be used in conjunction with the original Service Agreement.

Enjoy the satisfaction of cooking your own meal

Our Ready to Cook Family Packs make it easier to take part in cooking at home—independently or with help from a support worker.

We’ve done the chopping, measuring and preparation. Simply follow the supplied instructions, add the pack to your slow cooker and enjoy a home-style meal you’ve helped create.

For clients working towards greater independence in the kitchen, these packs offer a manageable way to get involved without having to prepare everything from scratch. With support where needed, you can practise following instructions, using your slow cooker and serving your meal—and enjoy the satisfaction of saying, “I cooked that!”

They’re also a practical option for clients moving from ready-made meals towards cooking at home with a carer or support worker. Having the ingredients prepared means you can focus on the cooking steps that suit your abilities and goals.

Each pack makes approximately six serves, so you can share a meal with family or portion leftovers for another day. Add your own sides where needed.

Speak with our team about the available packs and whether they would suit you.

Local & Personal

We're a local family business that believes great customer service still matters.

When you call, you'll speak with a real person who knows our meals, understands the funding process, and is always happy to help.
